LA school district, unions reach tentative agreements

But associations of parents and taxpayers are concerned about the costs. With hours to go before a scheduled strike on Tuesday, the nation's second-largest school district announced a tentative agreement with SEIU Local 99. It was the third and final tentative agreement needed by LAUSD to prevent a strike.
